"What are audio books?" Audio books used to be only kid's stuff - You know the cassettes that kids love to listen to over and over and over again..... Not anymore! This was before everybody had an iPod, Zune or other MP3 player, and people who wanted to listen to an audio book had to carry CD's or even audio cassettes and heavy players that did not run very long on one set of batteries.

Today this is not an issue anymore. Just load a file to your MP3 player and you'll be listening to it on one set of batteries for 12 to 20 hours! If you are interested in learning a new language, then what better way than to listen and learn while on the go. Maybe your a stay at home mom with the kids always keeping you from a 15 minute break, then just put in a story time audio book that will keep them occupied while you relax.

Today technology has brought a boom to the audio book marketplace. With the popularity growing at an astounding rate, we are seeing more selection in audio book topics as well as services. If you don't want to bother with the cd cases laying around all over, then you can simply join a service for a small monthly fee and download unlimited content electronically to your player and not have to mess around with a collection of cd's that will probably become dust collectors over time.
